    Identifying a replacement engine

Just purchased a car with a replacement V6 2.5. The block is stamped 3EW, does this identify it sufficiently for replacing spark-plugs etc?

3EW is the marking on all 2.5 6Axx blocks ie all 6A13's
the serial number is stamped into the side of the block above the bellhousing on the front head.

However I'm not sure what you mean by "identify it sufficiently for replacing spark-plugs etc? "
