I have seen it happen with Exedy stuff. The evo pressure plate is thicker than the VR4 and the flywheel is thinner. So when you use the VR4 fly and the Evo pressure plate you are using the thickest combination.
this issue has been covered over and over again on both here and OZVR4.
hence why its best to do your research before purchasing parts which are not designed for what your are going to be using it on.
if you want to use an evo clutch get an evo flywheel along with one of @Nick Mann 's adaptors

that's how my friend got the car,if u machine the flywheel abit it may fit cause it only made a little impression on the gearbox but if u machine the flywheel will it affect torque?will post some pics soon.....
