Car Description
Car History
Legnum vr4 type S with cold weather pack, registration number L6 NUM. I had this car imported from Japan in February 2010 where it was originally traded in at a Mitsubishi dealership and I have owned it ever since. I have every scrap of paperwork from that moment on. The Shakam test sticker is on the windscreen along with a whole variety of Japanese stickers showing service intervals etc. The auction house document shows the original mileage in kilometres (85 527) which equates to 53 454 miles)) and the speedo was converted to read miles on arrival in this country. It has a Clifford cat 1 alarm with proximith sensors and a turbo timer. During this time, I have also been a fully paid up member of the VR4 owners club (
www.clubvr4.com) and the car was on the front cover of the owner’s club calendar.
The car was subject to an SVA test then undersealed and MOT’d. It also had the private plate L6 NUM applied to it and this is included in the sale. The car went to Eurospec for a full 60k service, (
http://www.euro-spec2000.co.uk/Mitsubishi/Galant/ ) including cambelt, water pump, pre-tensioners, all fluids, plugs etc, and has been meticulously maintained ever since. The extensive folder of receipts shows just how much I have cared for this car.
I then had the car converted to run on LPG as well as petrol. It is on the UK lpg register and the lpg system has recently been serviced by WCR in Reepham, Norfolk. It pulls just as hard on lpg as it does on petrol but you have the choice to switch between them on the fly if you wish. I also have the connection lead and Zavoli software so you can customise the fuel mapping.
Modifications.
Zavoli LPG system and custom fuel map.
Fujitsubo stainless steel cat back exhaust
K&N flat panel filter
Magnecor 8mm ignition leads
Turbosmart manual boost control (dyno proven at a stable 0.9 bar)
Grooved front discs
Other information.
It has had an oil and coolant change in the last few weeks, new NGK iridium plugs as well as new pads all round, new(ish) front tyres, new radiator and new high capacity Exide battery – all since Christmas.
In addition to the folder of receipts, I also have a range of dyno print-outs that show just how well this car runs.
I should also say that the bodywork is in excellent condition with virtually no rust. It has one tiny mark on the nearside rear arch (a few mm long) and a few stone chips on the leading edge of the bonnet but other than that, it really is a remarkably tidy car. You will look for a long time to find a better presented Legnum than this. Even the original factory fit wind deflectors are all in great condition. The interior is also in very good condition with no marks on the seats and is finished off with a smart set of clubvr4 floor mats. The pearlescent white paint still turns heads and looks stunning when it catches the light right.
Bad bits
stone chips on leading edge
slight nsf knock - was going to change curved arm ball joints if I kept it
other than that, it's mint and carefully looked after.
