    Boost loss,

    boost.jpgHi all , After a road trip to silverstone last week i noticed the boost gauge wasn't doing much so i wound the MBC in abit more and it don't make muck if any differance, I'm lucky if i'm gettind 7 PSI with it wound almost to full ??

    boost leak somewhere.

    boost leak test needs doing.

    i think so to , we did one awhile back at Carls place , i can't here anything though ,its a lot of boost to leak out , lol

    Smoke test may find something.

    Could also be my current dreaded issue with the turbo actuator diaphragms being split...

    you could disconnet the the wastegates from any potental boost pressure and see if the boost system can produce lots of boost very quickly.

    but only for a short time as it is not very health for the turbos.

    this will prove if your turbo system is in good shape, but it will not check for diaphram failure in the wastegate.
