Will the gearbox from a Galant Saloon fit my Galant Estate?

Hi all,
Had a few problems with my 2001 Mitsubishi Galant Estate, manual 2.5L v6, had the clutch replaced but looks like i need a new gearbox too,
Ive found one but not sure if it will fit can anyone enlighten me? The guy said he thought there was a different gear ratio on the estate from the saloon,

Its same year as mine and looks the same only difference is saloon instead of estate? Cheers

Can't see the link, but they are the same.
I have never heard of a complete manual box failure. What's actually wrong?

Not too sure. its in bits at a workshop at the moment. I had clutch failure while driving (its been on its way out for a while) And there were some horrific noises... grinding and popping and all sorts..
Im no mechanic so got my mates dad to do the clutch, he is pretty sound and doesnt charge too much

He said the gearbox is knackered, its all worn away or something.
I was having a few problems with it before, especially when trying to put it into reverse

As long as its the same gearbox then thats all good! Although it means a long old trip to wales to pick it up...
