    What @94000 Miles said.......

Come on Boys and Girls, more of this please. We all love the styling of our Leggies and Galants and we all own camera phones. Clean dirty standard or modified, post'em up people.

Does the bonnet actually close over the top of that monster or are you going to cut a big hole and duct the in.
    It is mahoosive.
You see lots of turbos in the mags and on TV on cars with no filter on them at all.
Are you going down that route

    Bye for Now!

Yer but thats the difference between a used car and show pics or show car i would love to see a bonnet clip or a loose bit of plastic or bit of something get close im sure then they will think no filter is a good idea.
To me a filter is cheaper than a turbo!

Yep bonnet closes. Everything fits. Will have an airbox where the battery and fusebox usually is which will feed the turbo and have a air filter in there as its still a street car not a gay good for nothing showcar

My friend has a twin turbo e30 v8 which he drives regularly without filters and he hasn't had any problem so far, so I would definitely run without

    And his runs 800bhp

there is next to no advantage in running without a filter. running without a filter is plain stupid as its just shortening the life of both your turbos and your engine from the dust and debris its inhaling

I have to say it is a very impressive build, you have covered all the detail in the thread on ozvr4 I read it with great interest, when ever I can. Masses of great in and a bit of background as to why you have made the choices you have, which is really helpful to the rest of us. Keep the good work.

    Cheers Adam

    I hear yer...........

Seriously, I was having a tantric **** after looking at your engine bay.
I dream of such a thing but am far too lazy for the upkeep, although maybe I'll start paying for car cleaning and live out my dream.

Two questions.... What is that bumper vent?
And where the hell did you get/make those sun visors?
I just had mine re trimmed in leather but while talking to the trimmer I told him I wanted a set like they used to put in SL Mercedes and the like, dark tinted glass a bit like your's. They look brilliant.

Cheers for your kind comments Olie!
The bumper vent is something I bought recently on ebay and it is linked by some 32mm hose directly to the base of the air filter box to add a bit of cold air to the very restricted snorkel. I may add an extra hose later to the side of the snorkel as other members have done. The reason for the small 32mm hose is because of the very tight space in engine bay of the auto trans legnum.
The sun visors were a little project of mine after seeing similar ones fitted to a TVR. I thought they looked cool and didn't completely block your vision. After a long search the only sun-visors similar to purchase were for aircraft or classic mini and so decided to make my own.
Basically I purchased some second hand galant visors and stripped them discovering a wire frame, cardboard inlay and the hinge /clip .I then bought a A3 sheet of 3mm acrylic/plastic on ebay ( available in various tints) which was just enough to make the 2 visors, (but I did have to add a little slither to the thin end.) I then very carefully cut a shape to fit within the wire frame using a metal small toothed hacksaw. After breaking the plastic at my first attempt I then bought another sheet of A3 acrylic from ebay and very very carefully cut the shape!
I then fitted this into place using a plastic/rubber edging trim which also came in a few colours and has a strong thin metal inlay. I forced this over the wire frame and it (only just) reaches and clips on and supports the plastic. If I had gone for a thicker plastic I don't think it would have worked.
I finished off by adding a small piece of leather to tidy up the plastic hinge/clip and match my seats.
I might by some dark tinted acrylic like you mentioned in the future as the edging can be removed and doesn't require any gluing. Probably look a bit classier than the blue!
Sorry for the long description and hope it makes sense, Wish I had taken photos of my progress but to be honest I didn't think it would work.
    Thanks again for your interest!

I never realised how much I like a black Legnum, yours definitely looks tidy.

Any extra cold air is a good thing with our cars so nice touch on the vent.

A big well done on the visors, they look quite well integrated into the interior. Have the ended up slightly larger than the standard items? A good thing imo
It's amazing how low quality car sun visors are these days, and yet I'm sure the majority of us use them quite often. It just makes so much sense to make them transparent to.
I might have a go at something similar myself, so thanks for the tips. A nice little how to guide in one post.
