My recent and ex Mitsubishi's
Awesome! I've seen this getting available some time ago and this is THE kit to have! I had the 'manually' EDFC kit in one of my cars, but usually I just used one setting. This however is exactly what will bring it to a whole other level. Very keen to hear how it feels and works for you once you have it!
I i mean we with @Davezj broke my car on wed night
We went on night tuning session trying to squeeze few more ponies off my car, so after few pedal to the metal runs with what I have tuned already, just to get some reference points, we flash standard map just for the sake of it how bad it was before, guess what happen? I'm not sure myself yet but I lost the clutch, pedal still spring back and move the clutch fork but not engaging clutch any more, its happen about 11.30pm and we were about 20 miles from my garage, so Dave teach me how to rev match gears and be able to shift up, that was fun, and we manage to back home as nothing never happen, all lights was green all roundabouts was empty.
So initial anger change to good mood as my gbox need to come out anyway as input shaft bearing been very rattly for about a year now, tbh I was waiting for this to happen on my last 30 laps session on 3sisters.
As for tonight gbox is ready to go on the floor but while im there Ive got to do/finish lots of other projects planned for months and just waiting for gbox togive up. There's the small initial list
-obvious gbox/clutch fix
-prep and fit RPW downpipes off Rick
-prep for hard pipe cold air supply and this require
-move lpg ecu inside car so all must be rewired (about 30 cables )
-move battery to the boot
-delete damping clutch thingy
-change cables conduit
-delete evap system in engine bay
-fit different vap for lpg, so reroute coolant supply and gas in/out
-get rid off small rust spots clean right side of engine bay and rust proof
-localise and eliminate slight oil leak from steering rack
-taking sump off and see the state of oil pick up
-wiring up and plumb in HKS electronic boost gauge
-sort out proper (factory look) wiring of CIBIEs
-tbc
My aim is to finish engine bay completely and not left any plans for later (bar td04 conversion, but that's not require to work on right side of engine bay, as I don't want to take this apart again in near future, and I hope to complete all that during school brake.
Stay tuned
Just a few jobs to do then! I hope you get it all done before my brake calipers come back from being refurbished.
Had the plan to replace spark plugs, swap injectors for a cleaned 2nd hand set and replace buggered boost control solenoid. Boost control soleanoid and spark plug change went well.
When firing up the engine first time there was fuel coming out between injectors and fuel rail. I realized that the fuel injectors were easy to turn left and right and were not sitting that tight as the old ones sat in the fuel rail.
So tomorrow a disassembly session again and finding the root cause... I suspect it is the o-rings which came with the injectors from Injectortune. A real PITA that the inlet manifold has to come off again.

Bye for Now!
If you need new set of seals for injectors, give me a shout via pm I have some. In fact I have new lower seals and spacers as well, you might as well change all of them. I have filter basket as well if you want to change those as well.
By the way a complete set of seal from mitsi are about £80 for the 6 injectors, I can supply a complete set for £18 delivered UK.

Split my gearbox and find issue with clutch

Thanks @Davezj! I had all the other seals already from Mitsi, so it was "just" the O-rings I needed. Anyhow, I noticed that I damaged 3 of the 6 O-rings which caused the injectors to leak massively between rail and injector. Now it's all back together and new NGK BKR7EIX plugs are in as well.
I also changed the boost control solenoid for a new one as I was boosting around with only ~0.5bar lately. Result: No change at all! Now further investigation is needed. Car feels good and builds boost as quick as usual - only the boost level is not right. Any thoughts guys? Blow Off Valve leaking?

Did you do a boost leak test yet Stefan?
Got round to prepping the steering arms. Gave them a once over by handwith a wire brush before putting them into the tub.

A few spots of heavier surface corrosion remain as you can see in the picture above. Will give them a good rub down with a wire brush attachment for the drill before I mix up a fresh bash of solution for another dip in the pool. Then they will be protected before they are fitted by Adam.
Is your bath not damage rubber parts?
btw I resigned from my weekend job so lots of spare time to fill, just need to put my car together to free garage.
what was the solution, was it a molasis based solution or a soda crystal solution.
or something else?
What is the liquid in the tub you used to dissolve the rust?
i hope it not a strong acid based solution, could be white vinigar that should not damage the rubber, well i don't think it will.
I used Deox C powder from Bilt Hamber - http://www.bilthamber.com/deox-c used at the weakest dilution ratio
Rubber bits are exactly as they were when the arms were delivered, not fully intact but the majority of the rubber is still present.
Adam - that's great news (well for logistical purposes anyway). Just waiting on my calipers to finally return, it's only been 9 months or so since I sent them off!
Changed all 3 coil packs for brand new and regapped the front 3 spark plugs.
And is it any better Colin ?
I hope so, Colin deserves a bit of luck with his car.
