Car Description
Car History
I have owned the car since August 2011. It has 3 previous owners and was declared new at first registration.
It has some service history. Mitsubishi service history from 2001 - 2007 then one in 2011.
I serviced the car myself in 2012 then at kwik fit in March this year (due to lack of driving).
Timing belt changed at 47249.
Lots of receipts and paperwork for the work done to the car.
I had a new Powerflow full stainless steel exhaust system fitted in Nov 2011. I also had the car undersealed.
Over the last two years due to work commitments I have not been driving the Galant often, but it has not been sitting around without being run/driven.
It feels great to drive and other than the original exhaust I have had no major problems with it.
I am reluctantly selling because I am off to Australia at the end of January!
Modifications.
Powerflow full stainless steel exhaust system (fitted in Nov 2011) with lifetime guarantee. Inspected and signed off each year.
Current 17" alloy wheels (previous owner).
Other information.
Radio with 12 CD changer in boot.
I will follow up with some pictures of the underside! (now included).
Bad bits
[INDENT]Last MOT advisories:
Near and offside brake discs worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened.
Nearside front (steering inner arm) ball joint has slight play.
Nearside rear tyre inner sidewall split.
Handbrake lever travel comes up long before engaging.
Other bad bits.
Some damage to drivers seat leather (pic).
Some stone chips to bonnet (pic).
I have noticed recently the AYC light sometimes comes on.
Might want to consider alloy refurbishment.
4 slight scuffs/scratches to rear wheel arch (pic)
A previous owner has taken it upon themselves to paint (only on one side) the break calipers yellow and label them brembo.
The dashboard clock sometimes switches off/on over light bumps in the road. This also occurs if you give the clock a light tap.
I looked under the car with the mechanic at the last MOT. I would recommend that the underseal is addressed again. Some areas of surface rust.
Update
Have noticed that the AYC light has not been on lately, on checking the AYC fluid I have noticed that the level is just above the minimum (cold start about 24hrs). I will top up accordingly.
On having a closer look at the underside of the car (some pics uploaded), I would recommend readdressing the underseal.
Hope this added info helps. If you would like to ask anymore questions regarding the car please don't hesitate to contact me via phone or PM!
Thank you very much.
