it is great to see a manufacturer showing you how it is possible to manipulate the results of a so called test.

i am not however saying that all products tested by this method are snake oil, i just questioning the test methods.

to perform a minging full test you must be able to carry out the same test repeatedly and get the same result. there should be no variable peramiters of any test apart from the one perameter you are testing.
if the same pressure was applied in the same time period to this one arm bandit machine, then it is logical that the test would be more reliable, as long as the the two bearing wheels were replaced after every test to ensure there was no residual oil on either brearing before the next test started.
it is all about the tester integrity.

I saw this video a while ago and completely agree, it is rather interesting to see how easy it is to manipulate a test that from first look, seems like it should be good, but the human controlling it is the major issue, and as you said, needs something to be able to repeat the test exactly, like a machine to apply the pressure, much less chance of it being bias
