    front ball joint squeak

    Got the dreaded squeak yesterday..
so had a quick look can't see anything obvious apart from alot of wear on the inside of the front tyre that wasn't there 4 weeks aga when I did the brembo upgrade.

So looks like I need the straight bottom arm guys?
Or is it the curved arm with ball joint that I need?

    Thanks.

The usual culprit is the straight arm. They are known to fail at the ball joint, usually at low speed and will allow the wheel to destroy the wheelarch if it goes. There is a lot of evidence on here that only the genuine arms should be used as aftermarket ones have been known to fail prematurely.

Also rack ends (tie rods) can cause inner edge tyre wear.

I'll second TAR's comments. After 94000 Miles the curved arms were Ok. Track rod ends are real cheap and can be done on the driveway.
