**SORTED** 170K but FSH - Would it be worth it?

Update - I missed out on this one but thank you for all advice received. I'll keep looking

As you may have seen from my intro post, I'm looking at getting a Galant to use as my daily driver.
Now, I've seen a 2.5 Auto with FSH advertised with a bit of rust around the rear arches but only £500, would it be worth the gamble?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts

Or would I be better off spending a bit more on a lower mileage example?

Personally for a daily driver, I'd want to spend a little more for lower mileage. If it had to be a Galant, I'd look for a lower mileage example and budget maybe around £1500 max which should find a very nice condition one.

That said, there are Legnums out there with similar high mileage numbers so provided its been looked after and has a traceable history, it should be ok. Cars like that are always a gamble though.

    Thanks Atik
Well it's HPI certified, FSH with new tyres & brakes all round plus new filters & fluids. I'm somewhat limited by budget but at that price even if it only lasts 12-18 months it should be ok I would hope?

its a £500 car. If it breaks you send it to the scrapyard. It could well be some very cheap motoring if it lasts a year.

Can't be any worse than my current daily Tim
Belts were changed at 140k, what's the recommended interval on these engines?

Belts are good for 45k miles according to mitsy UK or 60k miles according to mitsy Japan.
