I can vouch for the lifters from Maikoworks that Adam fitted. Granted I've only done several hundred miles since they went in but they are a damn sight quieter.

Mitsi supplies now only part number MD376687. These are uprated by MMC lifters with bigger oil feeds and spring load changed. IMO 11.0 GBP per lifter is not bad, especially if you buying peace of mind in package.
I would suggest you stop being such a tight ass as you're likely to destroy your engine, but it's your choice really. As you were.

I will be watching the videos when I get some time, I bet they don't recommend drilling into lifters or the like though.
