In search of my reverse light plug

    Hi all,

Just trying to get this car back on the road, one of the things that needs doing is hooking up the reverse lights. Unfortunately it's not particularly straightforward, as it is a PFL auto that has been converted to manual. Even more unfortunately, the conversion was done a good few years back by Q, and he hooked up some speaker cable to the lights then said I could connect them myself (such thorough worksmanship). I assume that a manual loom was not used on account of all the spare plugs that I have. Anyway I took it to a mechanic, and they connected the reverse lights, attaching a couple of pins to the switch off the gearbox that I assume go into some plug.

I have had a bit of a look for the plug, checking the various terminals of the extra plugs for continuity. I found a couple in a light grey plug, and hooked the reverse switch up to that, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Does anyone have any clues as to where I could start looking for the correct plug?
