    Question Midland Automatic Transmissions

Does anyone have any experience with Midland Automatic Transmissions?

My VR4 is off to them for an investigation and then (hopefully) an oil seal replacement under warranty. Hourly rate of £34 versus Solihull Mitsubishis £65!

Edit > Guess I won't be able to get the car on the dyno while it's there though:

The Dyno enables us to simulate actual road conditions for front or rear wheel drive vehicles by using a variable pneumatic loading system. This technologically advanced machine produces up to 200bhp and all pressures and stall speeds are checked and verified against the manufacturers specifications.

It sounds like the place mine got sent to, but to be honest I can't recall exactly.

Xtreme told me they had a place in the area that they as Ralliart and also Mitsi UK in general have always used for all their INVECS II rebuilds and problem solving.

This confirms what my local Mitsy garage told me too, as they said they haven't the expertise to strip an autobox so would usually just replace it or send it off to their "nominated independent gearbox specialist".

If you can find that place, it sounds like they know what they're doing

    Cheers Jimbo!

Spoke to the guys at MAT today they seem confident they'll be able to handle the job, it also seems more and more likely that the warranty will stump-up for the work.

I take it you're back in possession of you VR4 and it's going well?

Yeah, the car's been running well, touch wood.

Problem is though, it's still not really driveable at the moment .......I held off and held off ordering some desperately needed rear discs and pads until I knew what the crack was with the gearbox and the warranty, and so I've had to wait nearly two weeks with the discs on backorder and a cross-drilling service pending....certainly not complaining though, I'm just so relieved the 'box is working!!!

Hope to hear from you soon that your 'box troubles have come to an end too
