go Injector dynamics ID1000
you will be running 550's near their limit with TD04's
Thought 550 was enough. 1000 seams a bit high dont it?
IMO, 560cc from Evo 6-8 should be enough for range 500ish, otherwise get some RC 750cc with 340lph fuel pump.
Adam, ID1000 is rather overkill in this setup.
BTW, don't forget distance washers for a fuel rail, 560cc or RC 750cc are taller injectors than stock VR4.
Ex: Galant VR4
Running 268 HP ATW and 443 Nm torque at 0.9 bar
Now: Lancer Evolution 8 FQ-300
Running 325 HP ATW and 510 Nm torque at 1.6 bar
I was thinking evo or rx7fc (have 6 spare 550 rx7 fc ones) im not going near 500 will be around 400. If i go more i can change injectors later if they do prove a problem
I'm afraid not, they are low impedance designed for Evo. Great quality tho.
1000cc isnt overkill. The modern 1000ccs have idle quality as good if not better than the stock 390's and they are easily available. And can get them with adaptor collars so they drop straight in.
Just out of interest how much are they With conversion coils?
is it an NZ supply or USA or EU company. Just thinking about shipping and import duty and VAT (Value Added Tax).
Basically we have to add 1/3 to the cost of anything you can buy in NZ plus shipping.
Bye for Now!
Dave, Indigo-GT and Ross Sport have them in stock.
Not cheap at all.
I was interested in seeing how much they cost in NZ to gauge what a reasonable price was. As everything car related seems to be cheaper in NZ.
This is why I wears asking about price.
The Ross sport website is not working so I can't check price on there. I will have to check indigo gt as I have no idea what the cost is of the id1000 injectors.
Ross do sales via MLR (PM way) or telephone. They haven't got fully functional website.
I have had a look at indigo-gt and it looks like the injectors are sold separately in singles and they are £415 each which does not sound right. It does not say that it is a set of 4 for £415 sure they can't be £415 each
Going rate is about 130-140NZD each. Regardless of where you buy them from.
Ok that is a bit more realistic. Still expansive £600 plus for a set. If you can get someone to split a set with you.
Interesting to see what it cost in NZ.

Im going with the Bosch EV14's from NZEFI for my car
cheers adam.
so it is about £450 for id1000 not sure if that is including the GST (removing GST at 24% from below calc which i assume is possible £342) this is including the top size converted.
and about £288 without GST for the bosch or £357 with GST (therefore GST is about 24%) this is including the top size converted and wiring plug.
so in the UK we could buy the bosch injector for £288 with combined duty and VAT at about 30% the cost will be about £375 so if shipping is £25 about £400 total.
Id1000 shipped and duty and vat paid in the uk £445 plus the same shipping £25 it is about £470
obviously i have had to make some assumption in the colculation but they seem resonable.
this is a substancial saving over the UK price. there is no real point to this apart from a price comparison.
