Master Cylinder Kit, where to buy it?

    Hi,
I am re furbinh the braking system.
I have a full seal kit for all the brembos etc, and I need a master cylinder kit. usually I would go to camskill for this, but they are not doing parts at them mo.
Any suggestions where I can get one?

I am not sure which size I requite, 1" or 17/16", I was going to buy both, depending on cost. (not near the car at mo to check!)
Any info appreciated, or does anyone have a spare for sale?

Is yours a PFL auto? As these were 17/16" as standard.

    Hoorah!, good to know X
Don't have a part number do you?.
I saw a thread a while ago re cylinders and I'm sure it had numbers on it.
Also, any idea where is best to buy or is it a dealer part ?.
    Thank you

Found your post on another thread, thanks again

A reliable source informed me not long ago that the ASC cars had the 17/16" master cylinder. Looking up mine (PFL auto with ASC) shows MR449208 to be the part number.

MR334292 appears to be the part number for the 17/16" cylinder kit.

If you look at the applicable models for both part numbers, they only list the PFL autos, i.e. LYGF, LYGF1 and LYGF2 for Legnums, SYGF and SYGF2 for Galants. (Legnum VR-4 Type-S, COTY, Super VR-4, and Galant Type-S, Super VR-4).

Not since Camskill have stopped doing parts for now. You could try the mean stealership? Their prices are always surprising, either by being really high, or sometimes really low!

Would it be the same part number for the Evo 17/16 one or would they have a different number for the same part?.
At dealers it might be easier asking for an Evo 6 ( or whichever etc). As if I say Legnum they will go all importy on me!!

    Well.
Mitsubishi dealer, called them today with part number and,
14 day wait for delivery from Japan! and £83.39p plus vat

I asked whether they kept the evo 6 master cylinder kit in stock as they may be the same, and the answer was "if it's the same part number then it will have to come from Japan!.
I thought they may keep some of these for ego's in the UK.

Any alternative suggestions for sources welcome, I want to get it sorted asap.

Not all Mitsi dealers are very helpful. Give http://www.hummingbirdmotors.co.uk/ a ring they are usually good.

    SO:
Mitsubishi dealer, is the best option!!
14 day wait for delivery from Japan! and £83.39p plus vat

It is the same part as EVO 6 etc, but the evo 6 master cylinder will be the same, no stock held in UK, all parts evo 6 and legnum will have to come from Japan!.
