    Engine and Gearbox Combined Weight

In the process of deciding whether it will be cheaper to hire a van, grab a pallet and shift the engine and gearbox myself or whether to get a courier company to do it for me.

IOT obtain an accurate quote I need to provide the correct weight. Does anyone know, definitively, the weight of the 6A13TT engine with AutoBox attached. Failing that the weight of both of them separately.

Tried a search and have got guesses ranging all the way from 190Kg for both engine and gearbox to 300kg for engine on its own.

Im pretty sure the Auto box is just a shade over 100kg dry so its more the engine weight Im after.

Also does anyone know if the engine and gearbox with both fit on one pallet or will I have to split them to send them?

    Any help appreciated.

i would say the auto box can not be more than about 70Kg as i can lift one on my own just about on to a sack truck and there is no way i can lift 100kg on my own. well not any more, i used to be able to carry 2 sacks of spuds, one on each shoulder, but that was a long time ago.

by the way, i can't lift an engine on my own so i would say it is over 100kg, lol.

    Bye for Now!
