Noobie Question

I am looking at getting a 98 Galant as a project car, I just wondered if someone could tell me the difference between a V6 Vr4 and a V6 non Vr4? Also on the non Vr4 is there still scope for plenty of upgrades?

The non vr4 has no turbos and 100 bhp less.
There are not so many performance upgrade routes for the VR4 and almost none for the non turbo v6.

Also to add to Nick's comments, the non VR4 probably doesn't have 4wd. There are a couple of models which did have 4wd (but still no turbos), but they weren't sold via the dealers in the UK, and very rarely imported because they're not as special as the VR4.


The two vehicles are so fundamentally different, I would suggest spending a few hours looking through the forum to get some basic knowledge on the two models, and then you can come back and ask some specific questions you may have.

Best advice i can give is for a vr4 look up evo parts if you can aford evo bits and maintenance then getba vr4 you wont regret it the a very sleeper car but wjen it does need work your at evo money. There not like running a 200sx or mr2 or civic.
