youtube "tha got beef wi me"
i made that.
what are you going to fit them to?
they are not VR4 front shocks the galant N/A shock.
if they are McPherson strut shock then no a VR4 has multi link front and rear suspension which is why it uses hub carriers.
Bye for Now!
ok, thanks, I usually use camskill and need a front shocker, where do you guys use?
thanks
Paul
just to double check, can i use these for the legnum front

Vr4 is EC5W legnum (estate)
I think EC5A galant (saloon)
The Mitsubishi part numbers for EA5W (n/a estate) for front shock absorbers are:
MR235592 (1996.10.1 - 1997.01.2)
MR235596 (1997.01.3 - 2000.02.3)
MR491591 (2003.03.1 - 2002.09.3)
For an EC5W (VR4 estate, pre-facelift Type-S for reference)
MR272661 for all years, but all superceded with MR455677.
So - they're different part numbers, which means that n/a and VR4 are not the same, and therefore not a suitable replacement.
The differences will be in damping rate, matched with the spring rate, and the overall weight of the vehicles. So, whilst it may (or may not) physically fit, it will not be the correct part, and you may find that your suspension is either too stiff or too soft.
thanks for the advice, where do I get new ones from?
Anyone know where to get new ones before I buy a second hand one?
thanks
Paul
Have you tried the usual sources? Amayama or stealership? Or Google the part number above?
There is a new user on here who is ex camskill and dealing parts, he may be worth a go too.
The ones that you have linked to will physically fit but as others have said, there is a good chance that the damping rate will be too low.
I can't remember his username and I surfing on my phone but a search should bring the guy up relatively easily.
This is the post from Mike
