    It's been emotional..........

Just incase I put her round a lamp post again, I thought I better take some pics and share them with the club.
More to come including a pro photo shoot but for now I hope you'll enjoy my amateur efforts.

WOW... you've certainly done some work on that, no wonder you went missing for so long!

Is that a kandy apple red?

I think you need some mega big wheels to fill those arches.

It looks really great, well done Olie

They look like factory Evo 7 wheels refurbed in anthracite to me.

Thanks Gib, hopefully I'll be propping up the VR4 numbers for some time now. She's a keeper alright, I actually added rust to the car with the replacement rear quarter.

Cheers Tim, a lot of hard work very little of which done by me.

    It is indeed Candy Red.

I agree It would look better on 18's-19's. They'd have to be very special and clear brembos though, what have you got ?

Thanks Bobby. It's a shade of red I dream of to be honest, it was never going to be anything else.

As Gib says, OE Evo 7 wheels in dark anthracite. They were powder coated pre colour change, I may change to black in the future.

A set of anthracite rota grids in 18" could work well against the candy red. I always liked the 18" Speedline Turini wheels on my first VR4. Are you running stock suspension?

Your not wrong about the Grids, they would look rather good. I had it on 18" Rays F20 before and it does look way better on bigger rims. A subject I'll come back to in the future.
Running Tein Super Streets at the mo and I absolutely love them, their so compliant and composed over bumpy roads. I actually raised them from lowest setting because I was worried about the clearance of the Super Kit, a valid worry me thinks but maybe I should stop being so chicken and drop it again.

Many Thanks Dave. That's nice to hear from such a passionate and noteworthy member such as yourself.

A long journey well worth taking, and one I hope never ends.

In all honesty I probably wouldn't have had the stones to do it if the club didn't exist. A Big Thanks to you all. Hopefully see some of you this year at any shows/meets/dyno days, etc.
    Long Live CVR4

Ollie you have done a fantastic job but I have just 1 gripe with the whole thing.......

That is pretty much the exact (or slight variation thereof) colour I was planning to have mine done when she is back on the road!! Now I will have to change my plans!!

In all seriousness she looks absolutely stunning mate top job.

    Looks fantastic!

Seeing other people spend money on getting their Legnums back to a pristine state is beginning to sway me towards that option for mine.

That looks really awesome Olie! Great colour!
I think I remember those headlights...

What are those side mirrors though? Not sure what to think of these to be honest.

There's plenty of room for more Candy Red VR4's.......
Mine was sprayed over the original Hamilton Silver as a base, a black base coat would give the true candy shade I think most of us are more familiar with.
