Anyone have any advice/information for removing the original roof bars off an estate galant? Roof trim removal?

Another pair of hands is my only advice. It's a fairly rigid thing but will bend if not supported.

what you doing with the holes once removed?
welding them up or just grommets.

or are you putting them back on after painting.

Hello good sirs, I work in a bodyshop, so I have the means to do repairs to the roof afterwards, but I'm not entirely sure yet. How long this enthusiasm will last is a whole other story haha

I aim to remove them completely, I prefer the look. I think. We will find out.
