Car Description
Car History
The car was first registered on 12/01/2000. It has covered 66,700 miles from new and comes with comprehensive service history which includes numerous receipts and service stamps. I purchased the car in February 2014 at 49,000 miles. Since then I have spent several thousand pounds on upgrades. This is the 3rd Galant VR4 I have owned. The vehicle is only up for sale as the desire for a V8 resulted in me recently switching to a Lexus ISF. The car is HPI clear and I can supply a copy of a fresh HPI report upon request.
The specification of the car is as follows -
Engine/Exhaust -
Hydraulic lifters replaced in March 2015 along with engine flush, complete set of new seals and gaskets for rocker cover, plugs etc. Oil replaced with Amsoil ASO at the same time
Colder rated plugs (IX-BKR7IEX)
Magnecor leads
Larger FMIC
Larger downpipe along with an 3” decat
Pipercross filter
Remapped with Kenneth's ECU Mods V2.0 - increased boost with fuelling and timing modified accordingly
Drivetrain/Suspension -
Autobox flushed and filled with Amsoil in March 2014
AYC and Clutch packs drained and filled with correct Amsoil fluid in March 2014
Uprated AYC switch - the AYC light still comes on in really hot weather or after a spirited drive but there is room to adjust the switch more
Tein coilovers with height and dampener control
Cusco front and rear anti roll bars
Interior -
Factory fitted Recaro seats, some wear to drivers bolster
Momo red & black wheel, some wear to the red sections
Kenwood FM/CD Player with front aux in, MP3 and USB support
Innovate MTX-L AFR gauge (fitted in glovebox)
Exterior -
Trigger Mauve paintwork which does have a few marks as expected for a car of this age
16" factory alloys. As you can see from the pictures the wheels do have some pitting and marks but they are used primarily for the winter months and have winter tyres fitted
The car was fully undersealed in November 2015. Any surface rust on the underside of the car was cleaned off and rust convertor was applied before a waxoyl treatment
Misc
LPG conversion carried out by LPG Systems in August 2014. The system consists of a LPG Tech 326 ECU, 6 Hana 2001 A injectors, KME twin reducers, 8mm Faro pipework, an 8mm 270 Multivalve and a 64 litre toroidal tank in the spare wheel well with the filling point discreetly mounted behind fuel filler cap. I get around 200 miles to a tank of mixed driving with no drop in performance compared to V Power. This averages out at under 15p a mile in comparison to double that on V Power
New fuel filler neck fitted in May 2014
New radiator fitted recently
Spares
There are a large amount of parts included with the car. These include a set of refurbished Brembo calipers in trigger mauve with gunmetal lettering (as pictured), a set of Evo VIII MR BBS alloys (without tyres), a full set of hard pipes with hoses and clamps, uprated Walbro fuel pump, genuine Mitsubishi wind deflectors, around 4 litres of Amsoil ATF, 3/4 bottle of Amsoil SVG oil and the stock anti roll bars
