Replaced steering wheel with NON srs one. SRS light ON and AYC gets to 3 bars easy

    Hello All,

I replaced the steering wheel, and damaged the Clock spring Ribbon cable and it is a bit hard to get ta resistor there. Any other location I can do this? Also I find my AYC turns on very easily now, E.G gets to 3 bars from straight line acceleration when before it would take heavy cornering to do this.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I guess you'd have to trace the wires back to a useful point where you could install a resistor.

As for the AYC, sounds to me like the steering position sensor is slightly out after your steering wheel change.
