Power steering

After having issues with power steering being heavy etc,managed to source pump from the dreaded ebay which has turned out to be a dud.I don't know if seller knew it was knackered but my suspicions are he did as he has failed to reply to any communication so far.my enthusiasm for my vr4 is at an all time low and almost rang the scrap man to come and get it.but just a quick line to say beware of ebay

Just to continue from previous post,after the gruelling task of putting new pump on ,done the usual stuff bled it etc but after start up fluid was flying everywhere, checked all pipes etc everything seemed fine it looks like the seal has gone on the shaft where the pulley is connected.to top it all off after this test run and a soaking of power steering fluid all warning lights on dash have come on .just fed up with this car at the mo can,t even motivate me self wit it. link to video attached

Is it possible to refurb these pumps ? ie a seal kit or something along those lines tia

You can get whole internals assembly to put in your old case from dealer.

That what I was thinking maybe o ring and seal kit

My thoughts at the mo are this,power steering pump on car at the mo is leaking badly looks like shaft seal is gone.one I orignarly took off doesn't leak but doesn't work.so thinking of taking bits off leaky one and putting on non leaky one ie flow control valve etc.see if I can get one good one from the two.

Update it's fixed took pump back off ,undone pressure switch and all the internal parts were missing,the little piston,plunger and spring wtf I hear you say,so put parts in from my old pump still fearing it would leak but hey presto ,it works annnnddd no leaks.so now I have fell in love with my beast again lol
