Welcome to he club Scott and nice looking motor you have there. Is she stock?
99% as far as I know is stock apart from the basic thing d like sub, speaker and amp upgrades. Leisure battery in the boot. Boost controller. Horrible alloys that need replacing once I find cheap replacements. Oh and some funky wiring for charging of the dash cam and other accessories from the leisure battery. I would like to fit a boost gauge and wideband asap though. Doing an oil change tomorrow I'd the oil turns up in time. Other then that she's stock.
Yeah a boost gauge is a good bit of kit especially seen as these cars are getting a little older now ad hoses have a tendency to start perishing. Both vacuum and coolant hoses. If I was you I would definitely look at purchasing replacement top and bottom radiator hoses from Mitsy along with brand new spring clips. I speak from personal experience that these particular hoses may look ok but they WILL let go and when they do they will completely burst and you will be left with absolutely zero notice before she starts to overheat and damage herself!
The hoses are not too expensive at all although you will probably have to wait around 14-21 days for them to come into stock. I found out the hard way on the M1 at 80mph. I was lucky enough to be only 1/4 mile from the services in the late hours so put her in N and coasted in to a space, hose split completely down one side. 1 week later the bottom hose burst on me too.
I would also look at doing the AYC clutch packs diff oils and gearbox oil. Expensive payout initially but then at least you know its been done.
This is the top hose that went on the M1, just a small split haha

Wow Not Good I Did See A Kit For Them Somewhere . Didnt Know They Where That Bad At Perishing. Deff Need To Look InTo Them Then.
The top and bottom ones are the worst ones I have seen when they finally do give way but there are 11 coolant/water hoses in total so it is definitely worth thinking about at the very least getting a spare full set even if you dont fit them right away.
Dont let me put you off though, my hoses were the original hoses and they served the car for 18yrs and around 110k miles before they failed.
Don't happen to have the part numbers handy do you mate. Off to do my oil change in a min

Bye for Now!
Top bloke thanks mate. Oils not come yet daam it.
Mine exploded like that when the head gasket went. Might be worth a look.
The only VR4 legnum that has my backside rut imprinted on the drivers seat.
Just done the spark plugs. Seriously in need of a basket kit fair amount of oil in the plug holes. As it's my daily iv had to put new plugs in. Will have to change gaskets ASAP. Jesus what a right ache.

I'm picking this exact car up Saturday afternoon (19th) from South Croydon, London.
I'll try to document what I find when I get her home to West Wales to show how the passage of time has changed things

I hope time has been kind!
From the pictures it seems pretty good structurally.
Strut towers are good, pretty good bill of health at MOT.
Few bits need addressing, but I'll use my old car which I've been working to save for the last couple of years as a parts car
