So designed a working version of the new boot hinges last night, they rotate 90 degrees and throw maybe 12-15" out

Ha, I assure you... I'm very involved in the work, my friends are here to help they wouldn't be letting me get away with not doing the hard bits.

With a bit of luck were hoping to get it spot welded into place tomorrow and get the boot bolted back on....

well, didnt manage to get to welding today, but more trimmming etc, its starting to sit decent, the A pillar trims arent looking too bad either, all the holes near enough line up

next job will be to remove the top skin of the car and drop the boot skin in its place to be spot welded inso we check the alignment etc with the boot.

as you see we ran out of daylight at the end, but the coupe A pillar trims clip into the original windscreen holes and into the roof holes.

the windows both go up and fit

the car is still a long way off, but its not been a bad 4 days, working about 4 hours per day. we wont cut the roof off until spring summer, probably wait till after april showers.

nothing amazing today, but you can see where im heading obviously i cut the lip of the original boot enclosure off, so that will also need plating back together, and then i will move into the back

ok so a bit of below average welding lol but it doesnt matter, this is me just learning and none of this will be seen, it will be fibreglassed over and smoothed it just has to hold.

and the skirts, took me a while to find a set of vertex replica skirts and the only place in the world that had them was in ausytralia so i had them shipped cut in half. so a piece of wood was placed inside the skirt, clipped both ends onto the car and used a ratchet strap to pull the two pieces together before screwing and fibreglassing so i could remove them and remove the wood and fibreglass the inside. next up is to just sand down the outside but thats not vital right now.

so next up, ive bought a full rocket bunny kit, but cut the arches off the front bumper as i dont plan to use it as i have a better one in my opinion.

so new bumper on and a quick angle up with the rocket bunny arches, the lines seem to line up a little bit so all should be good.

next up are my custom made 34kg spring rated coilovers from BC America they are running swift springs with re valved dampers! and have been done as an extra low kit so tomorrow should see that bumper touch the floor!!

spl toe arms which are top soec race toe arms for the rear. my camber arms front and rear havent turned up yet but these will both be sent off to be extended and messed with to get the crazy camber im after. a full polybush kit is also on its way.

youll also see a harley davidson pop up fuel cap this is going to be mounted under the boot and just behind the rear quarter windows because the original fuel cap cuts right into the rocket bunny arch and looks terrible! so now it will be able to be symetrical with no fuel cap ruining the lines of the kit.

and last but by no means least!!!! these things are ****ing huge!! they are suicide door hinges which i am told can hold up to 80kg!! so plenty enough strength for a door full of speakers!!

Nice update, to be honest I am glad you are mental haha just makes everything more interesting. I like the 350Z rocket bunny kits but have never been a fan of the front bumper, the arches fit well on the other bumper and when done I think it will look alot better and suit the car more. Again the other thing I have always disliked is how the rear arches are cut into for the fuel flap so glad you are sorting that out.

I just want this project to be finished already haha its going to be one sweet ride. I also cant wait to hear the half-witted, dumba$$, narrow minded comments from the Zed forum telling you that you have ruined the car and generally pissing them all off
