Right guys, I know the show season has only just come to an end but the majority of the dates of next years events have now been confirmed and announced. This year some of you said that not enough notice was given to attend certain events due to work/family commitments. To that end lets give CVR4 a decent turnout in 2017! You have no excuse not to get these dates booked off with work or the missus, my job is not well known for its flexibility but even I have managed to book off the dates for this event!!
The event in question is none other than Japfest taking place at Silverstone circuit for the 2nd year running.

This event will take place on 30th April 2017 and there are many reasons to attend:
Do you need a part for your Japanese car (Whether it be a VR-4 or not)? Chances are you will find it within the Japfest Retail Village!
After a record-breaking show in 2016 with more stalls and products than ever before the Japfest Retail Village returns for 2017. Sandwiched between the track action and 1000’s of club cars, the Retail Village is packed with everything and anything you could need for your car, from throttle bodies to wheels and camshafts to coil overs and everything in between!
In the Retail Village you'll also find some of the leading names from the automotive industry showcasing their latest products and offering advice on your project, as well as exclusive discounts that are simply too good to miss!
After a record-breaking year in 2016 with more club car displays than ever before, expect to see another jam-packed display at the 2017 Japfest!
Japanese machinery from across the globe will amass in the club display areas and the show will be packed full with the finest Japanese cars, from pristine classics, modified monster show cars, track cars and rare marques. Make sure you save plenty of time to wander round the massive and diverse range of cars on display including R35 GTR’s, 370Z’s, Evo’s and Civic Type R’s to name just a few!
The Show & Shine competition brings together the best examples of the UK Japanese scene. Whether it’s an impeccably-detailed rebuild, a quarter-mile demon, a highly-tuned track weapon or a pristine restoration you’re guaranteed to be impressed.
The track timetable is full of public and club track sessions for visitors to take part in throughout the day.
This is your chance to take to the famous asphalt of Silverstone National Circuit, the home of British Motorsport and take your own car out on track in ther 'Jap Only' sessions. We have sessions to suit all abilities, so anyone can get out on the tarmac.
See the below official Japfest 2016 video for a visualisation on the above:
I shall be attending this event probably for the weekend and camping over. Even though I live just down the road I know how busy the A43 gets during this weekend so it saves sitting in traffic to get in. It also means I can have a few cheeky beers/crates of beer @gadboy007 the day before without having to worry about getting up early being sober enough to drive to the event.
So who is interested? Would be good to see a decent turnout from CVR4 as in recent years the numbers have been very small. People have no idea what our cars are and what they are capable of so lets give everyone something to talk about!!
Tickets are not yet available but I expect they will be very soon after Christmas, so get that leave/holiday booked and make an appearance, if there are enough of us that register interest early on then we can justify a club area and this will give the VR-4's the exposure that they deserve, there are some stunning motors on this forum so dont keep them to yourselves!
As said I will be attending for definite although I will probably be in the 350Z but would much prefer to be with you guys than the datsun lot.
