I might consider looking at the Evolution 350mm front disks as he are readily available, and offset the calliper outwards more with a bigger chunkier bracket.
I searched for 330 mm disks last night and they don't seem available off the shelf.
But I could be very wrong on that front.

You could pretty much say goodbye to 17" wheels with a 350mm disc!

That's bad, any 17s won't fit or just your current ones?

My wheels are Evo 8. I would expect the caliper to be touching the inside of the wheels to accommodate a 350mm disc. Even if they aren't, I suspect that the spokes of the wheel would start fouling at that point.

I have been a bit tardy at emailing people to see if they can supply the 330mm disc (there's a shock! ) but I will report back with news when I find out.

how are the brakes doing as they are, have they got a bit less grabby and noisy.
the quicker you the new disks you can sell the current one as they are standard 320 evo drilled and grooved. but if you leave it too long they might start to ware unevenly and make it difficult to use in standard arrangement..

    Bye for Now!

Mrs B has been the chief driver. I went out in it on Friday and they do seem to have gotten quieter. I don't have any squeal whatsoever though. Have eventually emailed Mtec about the 330mm disc. Probably worth doing this on the other thread I started a while back!

As for my suspension, I am getting the odd 'settling' clunk from the front left (which was the broken spring side), which is a little disconcerting. I can feel that the bottom of the spring is seated correctly though, and I can see that the top is too.

I took it for its wheel alignment, and it is now all looking good camber wise and toe wise, but the guys there couldn't see any problems with the suspension at all, and everything seemed solid and staying put once adjusted. I guess I will just have to monitor its progress. The spring isn't exactly going anywhere for now lol.

While it was up on the ramps, I took the opportunity to have a good look around the braking system - everything was looking good. I even checked the inside of the wheels and spokes just to see if there was any suggestion of the calipers touching, but fortunately, they were completely unmarked (well, the dirt was, anyway ). The clearance still looks ludicrously close though!
