It may work out good if we can post there whats are plans to do as we may bring necessary tools to do it?

I mainly plan to annoy you lot with my daft comments and odd sarcastic sense of 'humour' Im also very good at picking someone else's cars faults.

I may play with ayc pump in green duck, firstly will try to bleed/change fluid in currently fitted one, if that fail I will fit adjustable switch and see if that's help, if that fail then swap over pump. Two days should be enough.

Hopefully weather improve a bit, if not then it will be two days of drinking tea for me

Yep, sounds like a good idea Adam I'll update my list of jobs in the garage too as people post - so it should be mostly complete once people come (but of course, on the drive over you may think of other things to do!)

    I've got the following things:

General tools - spanners, socket set, screwdrivers etc
    Torque wrench
    Engine crane
    Trolley jack
    3x pairs axle stands
1x pair small drive-on ramps (like these)
Compressor (but no tools, only a spray gun)
    Spring compressors
    Brake pipe flaring kit
    Soldering iron
Grinder with cutting & grinding discs
    Dremel with cutting/griding/sanding discs
    Pillar drill
Bench grinder (grinding wheel & wire wheel)

If anyone has anything they want to do with their car in the air, I would suggest at the very least bringing your own axle stands, this will ensure that we should have enough for everyone.

Ok I bring axle stands and big jack, also my cases of tools as I find out on days like this b4, its much easier to work with your own known tools then ask for them and search and put back ect
Will get my tactrix cable too to play with ayc, @Davezj can you bring your long USB extension lead?

Yes, I agree, working with your own tools is always nicer! That will also ensure a bigger selection of tools that people could borrow if they are missing anything specific

Just to let people know what they're in for (as I will no doubt be commandeering the bulk of the man hours!), these are on my list for the RVR:

    MUST DO:
Replacing front springs and shocks, install camber adjustment bolts
Brembo upgrade (small grinder probably required if you have one handy Garry)

    REALLY WANT TO DO:
Install forward facing oil filter housing
Replace engine oil (necessary with above)
    Replace gearbox oil
    Replace boost solenoid

    NOT ENTIRELY NECESSARY, BUT FUN:
    Install VTA dump valve

When I rummage through the garage this Friday to dig out all the various parts, I will probably find a few 'oh yeah!' items that I need to do as well

I've got both a big grinder, and a Dremel (added them to my list-o-stuff above)

I'll stick those things on the list!

I will also bring my tools, oils, etc. and maybe a few spare VR-4 bits I have knocking around, just in case they turn out to be useful for anyone else.

    Well...

Hence my trying to figure out who's staying!

I have 2 king sized beds upstairs, a living room and a dining room with floor space for either a double air-bed or multiple singles, my office for a single air bed, and 2 single bunks in the caravan. (I'm more than happy to be relegated into the caravan for the night)

    Current thoughts are:

    Bedroom 1: @elnevio
    Bedroom 2: @Nick Mann
    Office: @adaxo
    Dining room: @Davezj
    Living room: @Will Rose MS
    Caravan 1: @Confused
    Caravan 2:

Not sure yet but I might stay overnight..saying that, I'm quite used to kipping in cars..haven't spent a night in my VR-4 yet but looks like loads of room and I've got an airbed that should fit in there nicely.
I've got a decent selection of tools so most of them will be coming down with me..

I was just reading the ATF thread - the filter I've got is a Solid Ace, part number M302011 - anyone happen to know if this is the right one?
Also looking to get some flush ( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Silverhook...8AAOSwfZhXNcvq ) - is this any good?
And where's best place to get some HFM? I'm using the Millermatic ATF SPIII-WS for gearbox which should be OK on its own but for sake of a tenner, I might drop some HFM in it as well.

The short list of stuff I could do on mine:

    * Gearbox/transmission/AYC fluids
    * Front coil springs (one currenlty snapped but got a pair of new ones ready)
    * Fitting cruise control and reseting the SRS light

There's a heap of other stuff that needs looking at as well but the above is what needs doing ASAP

You'll love my car then - I'm sure you'll find even more faults on it besides the ones I've already picked up

Honestly, the best flush is to refill the gearbox with Amsoil ATF, drive it for a few thousand miles, then replace it again - if you know that incorrect or really old/bad fluid is in it.

You do not want any friction modifiers or other flushes/additives into our gearboxes!

You're more than welcome to stay and sleep in the house or caravan! We'll make it work, not having anyone sleeping in an unheated car!

@Will Rose MS - We'll maybe struggle to reset the SRS light - that needs a proper tool - either a MUT-II/MUT-III, or a tool like a Blue Point G-Scan or Snap-On Solus. But the gearbox fluids & springs we should be fine with The anti-roll bar drop links can sometimes be a pain - I needed to cut mine off because they'd rusted so badly - it might be worth getting a new pair for the sake of £20 from EuroCarParts!
