    Front ABS sensor

In need of front passanger abs sensor for MITSUBISHI GALANT VI (EA_) 2.5 V6 24V (EA5A) as soon as. Somehow the cable unclipped from the car and was just rubbing on tyre and is shredded. Now the ABS warning light is on too. Cant seem to track one down. Anybody got a good working one plz? Thanks

What age is the car? The sensors are difficult to remove intact and there is a slight difference pre and post facelift. Sometimes it is easier to change tge whole hub carrier.

The year is 2000. What do you think I should do?

That makes it a facelift hub carrier. That will make it more tricky to source as they are used to upgrade brakes to Evo fitment. I'd try for a full hub carrier or check the price of the sensor.

I have drilled them out before, just be careful not to damage the carrier.
You can't really get them second hand as they are very difficult to remove intact!. They are expensive new, but they are available.
Is the cable not repairable?, it's only two wires, you can cut it back and solder in a new section of two core shielded cable.

I just realised that Louis cleared up something that I didn't clarify - removing one to replace it with another is not so bad, as it doesn't matter if you destroy it, but finding an intact second hand one is going to be very very difficult.

You can cut the abs sensor cable and reconnect it either solder of with push together terminals.
I did this that last time I removed the rear hub carrier as I did not want to drop the rear subframe to get to the connectors.

I can just about get my hands to the connectors above the rear subframe, but I do lose skin in the process. You need someone like @Atik for that job!

I would only recommend soldering TBH, anything else is asking for trouble in a wheel arch.

Cut the wires and solder them as Nick said, insulate them well and it would be fine.BTW I have a FL ABS sensor, but not sure wich side.
