Well, here's the full story..... I was tired Friday.

My rach rang me at 5. 15pm asking if I wanted a lift, I said no because we were not meeting until 7. 30. Apparently.... Typical of my mum's daughters, they brought it forward to 6pm without telling anyone in advance.
I said to each I would still make my own way there as it was less than 2 miles.

I did not have time for a shower or shave! After a few minutes riding, I realize I still have my carpet slippers on 🤐 sod it!
I called at the petrol station on the way to use the cash machine...... Out of order! So.... No money 🤐

I was then 2/3rds of the way there when my scooter died!! Next, a silver 5 series pulled up along side...... My Dan!! Do you want a tow? F off was my reply....... I will make it, which I did. 20 or so of us there, so lots of conversation going on.

Half way through the meal...... Who paid, I have no idea..... My nephew Ben and his wife steff tum up, late, as usual. Now, apparently, the usual gestation period is 40 weeks... Steff was 42 weeks gone!! Whether it is an old wife tale, but the best way to get you started is to have a curry!!!!!!

And it worked. 999 was called, the paramedics came, an ambulance was called but it was too late to get her in it!! Eventually she did make it to hospital.. . mum and baby doing fine.

Shortly after...... It appeared there was just me and my kids left I said to Dan, my scooter will have to go in the boot of your beemer...... Err... No... He had 2 pints and wasn't driving anywhere.

Meanwhile, Becky is on the phone trying to get a taxi that will take a scooter...... Nothing doing for at least an hour 😝 so I said it will have to go in your Nisan. I'm not driving, I've come in rachs car she said!

So....... After 5 mins search, I found rach and said it would have to go in your toyota. Her reply was.. My car is in for a service... I have a hire car. No problem, it can go in that. ...... But its a smart car..... . FFS!!😝

Have you ever tried to get a scooter in the boot of a smart?? My girls became window lickers there seats were that far forward!
But, we all eventually made it back to mine....... Not a day I will forget in a hurry!
