Car Description
Car History
Time for my old friend to move on due to property refurbishment and requirement for a pick up truck.
Always loved this car and have to say it's never given me a days trouble durng my ownership, previously a club members car but unfortunately I can find references to old posts.
I am fixed on the price as I'm very attached to the car and I believe it's worth it, otherwise I'll just keep it, so genuine enquiries only please.
This car is 20 plus year old and has its battle scars so do not expect "mint"
Modifications.
Lots of mods over the years but I've never really investigated them to any great extent.
Panoramic electric roof
Blitz air induction and dump valve
Intercooler
Kenwood
Strut brace
etc
Toad alarm system
Turbo timer
Rear tints
Other information.
Wheels are in bad shape and not original with stretched tyres, I've never damaged wheels on any car but I hit these regularly ! despite this people always liked them and I haven't bothered changing them. The original Oz wheels with tyres, came with the car and are therefore still included.
Original cloth interior which to be honest, I prefer.
The bonnet was " wrapped" carbon fibre prior to my ownership ( very well done ) This has now faded and would probably be removed now.
After what I thought was a break in way back, I replaced the front door handles with rear ones, so no locks showing. After speaking to a top alarm guy, it transpired that the car hadn't been broken into and I had unwittingly been leaving the car open whenever I left it !! ... the turbo timer when finished was opening the locks !! Oh dear, embarrassing !
Quality mileage converter/delimiter behind dash, not a few quid ebay thing. I'll post the name of it later
I never bothered with the 3mm lifter conversion ( pretty expensive) so it has the standard lifter rattle, although I have to be honest, having tried all the recommended " special oils", I find without doubt that I get far less tappet noise with standard oil.
Bad bits
General battle scars, front bumper probably suffered most, bits and dabs around the vehicle
Interior always comes up mint with valeting
speedo stopped working 2 weeks ago, but kicks in again on the motorway, suspect dirty connections at gearbox switch
dash lights pop up here and there ( common I'm told ).. TC Engine light etc... next day all is fine, meant to get to the bottom of it but the car never gives a problem and certainly no " limp mode" ever.
I will post more as I remember.
