Haha John, thanks for just thanking me!
Great weekend, and with a huge help from Nick, it seems (though this will continue to be on the watch list) that my oil leak is fixed. Nick essentially stopped me from topping myself and/or sending the car off to Amesh in a huff!
Cracking to meet you Jake, and nice to meet a couple of other new faces in Lee on the Saturday and Steve on the Sunday.
I also managed to fit the new tow bar (still to be wired in though as I was rushing this job a bit today!).
And the other major fix was detecting and curing my misfire. To be fair, not much detecting was required, as it turned out! But more to follow on that...
Will start posting up a few pictures that I managed to snap - I know this is something that everyone usually forgets what with all the general busyness going on

I *think* they're working? Or at least planning - Nick definitely has his thinking face one

Jake had his professional spray booth set up

John's cambelt conference meeting was a success. It's entirely possibly he was chairing from a prone position under the car!

Lee won the prize for best-equipped mobile mechanic. No-one else had a T-shirt matching his impressive array of equipment! Garry was disqualified due to being resident

And then the rain came! Most important job was to protect the munchies!!

Then the gazebos for the cars...

John, fresh from his cambelt meeting, was getting stuck in under one of the gazebos

Whereas Jason was simply hiding in the garage in some old car...

As for the detecting of my misfire... well, removal of the plugs, leads and coil packs revealed that one of the plugs was now missing its ground electrode and the coil pack pretty much snapped in half!! :O Genuinely amazed that the misfire wasn't worse!!

So, in summary, a great weekend. I would have liked to get a few more pictures, but I think I was grateful to actually snap what I did!
Major thanks to Garry for hosting, and to Alex for coping with the aftermath. Great to see everyone and another enjoyable weekend.
Hi guys.
Would just like to thank you all for Sunday it was nice meeting you.
And look forward to the next time. Hopefully I will be a bit further along with the car and a working AYC and the correct oil in the gearbox.
Thanks
Steve
Thanks for the garage day, I got a few jobs done finally, could have done more but I didn't have the bits, can't wait for the next garage weekend,
Next time I'll be a bit more prepared, I literally just left my work tools in the car after work Friday and grabbed what parts I needed and headed off.
It was good to meet everyone, see everyone's car's and learn a few things as well
Good to see the CVR4 culture of banter and camaraderie is still intact.
Was really great to have such a good turnout, and I'm glad most people got a few jobs crossed off their lists!
Great to meet @Layton1985 and @Steve case and hope to see you at some more events in the future!
@galantnight glad to hear you're no longer leaning out when you mash the throttle
@elnevio thanks for managing to spend some time taking a few photos, something I always forget about because I'm engrossed in doing other stuff!
