Hi am I able to fit legnum rear seat into saloon 1999 VR4
The seat backs in VR-4s are fixed in the Galant, i.e. don't fold down like they do in the Legnum.

Ah yes sure, as you said Atic nad Nev, JDM saloon fixed, UK spec foldable, too early to post for me :-)
Apologies for bumping a rather old thread!
I've just hit exactly the same problem as above with my replacement rear leather seats in that my JDM pre-facelift VR4 has a single piece solid back rear seat which has a central 'hook' that it hangs from and two side bolts, whereas my new seats have two side bolsters (which connect to the same two side bolts) and then the middle two seats are designed to fold with spring clips to hold them to the back of the car
As it's a requirement in Ireland (where my car is) that all seats are fixed to the car body, I'll fail their NCT test if the seats aren't secured in place, so I'm trying to work out the best way to modify the body to accommodate the seats...
After a bit of reading around it looks like in theory I can drill holes where the U-bolts should be on the car, and then find a matching size U-bolt for each side, and then put these in place for the seats to clip to
The bottom bolts for the middle seats I can mark out, and again drill holes to mount these with bolts, basically achieving similar to the bodies designed for these seats
So the question is - has anyone done this or achieved the same in an alternative or better way?
Here's a few pictures of the mounting points I found on the web, and it would be awesome if anyone who does have these mounting points could measure me the width of the U bolts, and the width of the gap between them
Happy New Year!

and here's the U-Bolt type thing I think I can find to hold them in place if I can get the right sizes
