so I installed my mbc as shown in the manual but I’m getting a fuel cut at around 11psi
Have I missed something

'97 Manual Legnum in silver with some subtle mods
My first VR4 - '97 Legnum Dark Green & mean ...it was love at first sight - now sold
My first thought: Fuel cut is down to air flow not boost pressure. If you have a small boost leak then the air flow will be higher for the same pressure so fuel cut happens at lower boost.
The other thought would be the air filter. Some pod or cone filters cause a swirling motion of the air through the maf which can give false high readings. So same as above, air flow higher so fuel cut sooner.
One final thought but on a bit of a tangent, fuel cut activates when air flow is above a threshold in a load cell for more than a certain time. This means in higher gears you are more likely to get fuel cut because you are in each load cell longer.
If you alreafy knew all that, sorry, I didn't mean to sound condescending!
Cooler air in Winter caused it with me. Mine was fine in summer (when using a MAP2) but in winter I often got boost cut. Denser air when cold I assume.I had to run a lower boost pressure in winter.
Yep. Denser air is higher air flow at the same boost pressure.
