    Pre-facelift facelift conversion

    Hi guys

To convert my front end, do I only need the bumper and grille?

Bonnet has higher centre section too. Otherwise, I can't think atm.

Yes. The plastic arch liners are a slightly different shape and some facelift bumpers have the arch extension on. And as above, the raised part of the bonnet is more raised. And obviously the fog lights are designed for one type of bumper.

    Cheers guys.

I've bought the facelift bumper and grille. I might buy the "humpier" bonnet. I'll buy the twin dogs I think, I prefer that look

I was thinking about fitting a vent of some kind anyway. I can't remember the last time I haven't had bonnet vents!

The community here is much quieter than it was ten years ago but it is one of the reasons I am still an owner. There have been and still are some awesome people here.

Good condition twin spots are getting hard to find. You will need to follow a guide somewhere else on the forums to wire in the outer spots, these are actually turning lights and point at ~60 degrees sideways with the indicator on.

Most will be missing a tab that protrudes from the back - often when this breaks it will leave a hole in the case.
For these be sure to fill in the hole after drying out the light inside. then secure it with some additional means (i used some jewellers wire wrapped around the body and against the locating tabs which then looped back behind the bumper bracket)

They also tend to develop leaks around the edge seal, if they are left wet for a long time this will cloud the lens with dirt inside and damage the black metal that surrounds the glass lenses inside. inspect pictures carefully for this sort of damage. Fogging and yellowing of the poly-carbonate is easily resolved but damage inside means a lot of effort to take the cover off and clean then reseal.

    Best of luck!

Thank you for that response! I've actually sourced a set of twins, wiring shouldn't be too much of a concern for me. Albeit I hate it, I consider myself to me good at electrics.

    I'll post when I'm finished
