Hi,looking for a AYC pump if anyone has a spare knocking around, would be great it someone has ONE...CHEERS
I always like to check the reason one needs a replacement AYC pump - is it not providing enough pressure?
It's the number one issue with AYC pumps, but can be easily and inexpensively resolved, usually for many years, by fitting an adjustable pressure switch. If so, Malc @MPBVr4 is your man - he must have supplied hundreds of these now!

Why not become a full member of CVR4 and enjoy the additional benefits membership brings?! Information here.
Done a few over the years @elnevio slowed down a bit now. I guess there are less cars still running or everybody has got a switch now.
Still got a couple in stock if anyone needs one.
Hi Malc, yes im interested in one.well I know theres power going all the way to the pump by testing the power lead. But there it stops theres no sound of the pump priming etc or any noise atall..theres plenty of clean fluid in the resiviour
Also any of you guys, got a link to how to do flashy dash with piccy or diagram,i know ive seen on here but I just cant seem to find it anyware.just that I want to check if it may be the relay also...cheers
Will have to wait till I get paid end of month,so I can become a member again...cheers Nev anyway mate
Oh, I thought it was viewable now.
There is another post somewhere...
will carry on looking mate
There's a set of codes in this post: https://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showth...s-complete-set
You only need to short pins 1 and 4 on the OBD-II connector near the driver's knee, using a short piece of wire or a paperclip. This is a representation of the connector:
----------------------------
\.01.02.03.04.05.06.07.08../
.\09.10.11.12.13.14.15.16./
..------------------------
Cheers Nev will have a go later mate....
Hi, guy's still having know luck here, for some reason flashy dash dosn't want to know,iv'e done 1 and 4..checked the AYC ECU behind the passinger glove box, seems ok.Then iv'e been trying to look for the AYC sensor that i thought was underneath the center arm rest but nothing there..No cut wires anything..any idea's..??? My VR4 is a galoon reg..V826FOU..CHEERS
Cant seem to get the flashy dash to work bridged pin 1 and 4 and nothing flashed, just AYC IN RED CAME ON IN THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER AND STAYED ON..does the engine have to be running atall when you do the flashy dash..?? as i only turned the key 2 clicks so the dash lights up...
Flashy dash works with the ignition on, doesn't matter whether the engine is running or not. You should definitely be seeing flashing lights!
What are you using to bridge the pins? Is it making good contact? Sorry to push the 'user error' side of things, but it's not really a known thing to fail! I was on a course near the university in Coventry at the beginning of the week - I would have been happy to pop round and have a look too had I have realised how close I was. I'll try to take a pic or two of the connector in mine over the weekend, with the bridging wire in, in case that helps with orientation. You should have about five lights flashing for sure, codes or not!
Hi Nev,used some electrical wire for the bridge,do you think I might need something stronger as like a paper clip..Yes you were close never mind mate sure will get to the bottom of this
Cheers Dave will look at that...
