previous owner sold the car with the battery hooked up to the wrong terminals ._.

so I no long ago purchased a lovely 8th gen pre facelift Galant vr4 automatic and the had the car delivered via a transport when the car arrived the battery had the positive terminal on the right and the negative on the left the negative was hooked up with the positive cable but the negative was put to the side I put in an old battery which has enough juice to run the electrics but not start the car I turn the key once and discover:
    RED:
    oil warning light
what I assume is the brake system light
    AMBER:
    check engine light
    ABS light
    AYC light

there may be some more(probably) but these are all I can remember at the time of posting

now after this discovery yes I indeed cried for a little bit after realizing the potential for the damage that had been caused I am unable to check any of the car at the moment as I am busy with work but intend to update the post on Monday when I give the car a proper check and get a friend over who knows a lot more about car electrics than I do but in the mean time while I wait and then cry some more when I discover its not just some blown fuses has anyone any idea of the sort of damage that may have been caused (likely culprits etc.) from this unfortunate reality so that I may be able to understand a bit better the situation I am in and maybe then be able to reduce the warning lights to minimalize the work that needs doing. I am still somewhat panicking as this is my dream car and any information will make me feel a bit better as this just isn't something I'm educated on and I don't read Japanese so all the manuals I have are hard to understand at the best of times any knowledge is appreciated thank you.

UPDATE: the majority of the issues caused was a direct result of blown fuses and wiring faults all of which were replaced as a contingency anyway However the engine still does not turn over when using the ignition key, the starter motor still works to my knowledge but it conflicts with my brother who thinks its an engine fault (engineering student in college) but I'm starting to question his knowledge on cars as a hole as he hasn't exactly been helpful with the car and actually made it worse(has been rectified) by blowing even more fuses god knows how he's been banned form going near the thing.

any more information on the new arisen issue will be greatly appreciated and id like to thank this forum for all of the help its provided so far I don't really have the money, time or expertise to really be doing any of this but you lot are making it possible by saving me the time and effort of going out of my way to research all of this. if I cannot figure it out within the month it will be off to a specialist garage so they can figure it out for me.
    once again thankyou.
