Looks like it IS the end for MG Rover!

We all know it's in administration, but now it looks like the rescue deal has collapsed!

However, if you're looking to buy, autotrader is FULL of rover-bargains at the moment! Anyone got a Rover 75? If you want one, it may be time to think about it! I know I am....

    I was considering a ZT190 before I got the VR4. I quite like them..mind you I've not driven one.
Now the ZT260...hmmm could then keep the VR4 for weekends.

A real shame - had many good years with Rover and it wasn't a bad product either. That was inthe days before BMW got their hands on it and ripped it to shreads

Rover were in the **** before BMW got sold that dummy. BMW were buying in to get FWD platform expertise...

Since the BMW break-off they had capital and a reasonable car to work with in the 75. With the marketplace heading big time to diesel, low CO2 outputs and with the way oil prices have been going for some time, MGR did the sensible thing and put all their effort into engineering an RWD platform for a big american V8. Smart move...
