I was changing all the fluids for the AYC and noticed there is a hole with no bolt right under the AYC Clutch fill bolt.
Then I looked at the reference pics and noticed the same.
So if it is normal what is it for? I highlighted it in yellow:

Maybe a support for removal or installation?
That seems the best explanation. No one else has any ideas?
I can't believe i'm the only one to have noticed this huge gaping hole that is actually threaded for a 9mm bolt that is not used!?
That is where the flugelbinder bolts on. You are in serious trouble if that is missing

So how are you bleeding the AYC once you have flushed/refilled it?
i'm not chaning the hydraulic fluid, if that's what you mean. if you know how to properly bleed it let me know because i'll do that along with the transfer, diff and clutch fluids this weekend or next.
haven't done anything yet because that hole scared me, and i still don't have a definite answer to what its purpose is hehehe
Sorry Zeke, we were just pulling your leg a bit. It is meant to be blank. Don't worry about it.
