    Your getting a machine polish on your VR this weekend?

    if so..

    it would be interesting to see the difference, before and after..

    say of the bonnet, or somewhere there mmay be some scratches.. would like to see how well it works.. INSERT INTO post VALUES (never seen it)

    Not looking like it will be this weekend I'm afraid :mad:

    The car is still with the dealer. The small oil leak I thought I had turns out to be a whole gearbox out job.

    Apparantly this is a massive job, and the box is so heavy it takes 3 blokes to hold it :eek:

    As they are doing the repair for free I have to accept they are doing it between other jobs......funny part is though they are talking lots of hours labour but the seal that needs replacing only costs £13 !

    Will likely be polished next weekend now but will update you asap.

    Same thing with my car a couple of months ago .... Torque converter seal replaced to stop it leaking gear oil at the rate of about a litre a month. Big job, the dealer had the car for a week, but all done under warranty so

    Yeah - now you mention it I think he said something about the torque converter so thats probably the same thing.
