    !!!Snow Time!!!

Hey, i have a Ford Escort XR3i which i am handing over to the buyer this week and am going up to auckland to have alook at this Legnum VR4.

Just want to no the Basic Ups and Downs of this wagon. What are the weakness's?

And most importantly the Mod's that can be done to bring those 1/4 mile times crashing.

First things planned is adjustable suspension (the thing is filthly high), Some mint 18in white mags. 3in complete exhuast system with ARC intake system.
And also the basic's of plugs and leads.

From those i need to know the best go for money. I'm thinking better turbo's, Valves, pump, ecu. but what order and best buy is were i need help?

Any help on this project will be great!!

    Hey thanks dude.
I'm actually from The Mt, Nz.
Hey your car looks mint as , it the same color and look i was thinking about going, but 18in white mags. I got some D2 adjustables to put in to.
I'm at uni, so don't have to much money but will be working at SSS in Palmy soon. (Sounds, suspension and spoilers). I had a pretty mad sound system in my last car and this one guna be a real sreamer.
The old escort was a real europeanmobile tho.
Parts costen sh$t loads, but it was real rare in NZ .
Did have a cosworth lined up but wanted to much.

Im traveling up to Aucks on Sat to have a look at this one for 10G. hoping i can push him to 9.5. And yes it is Manaul. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Well, what type of things go wrong with these cars, so that i can check for thrash.

    Any help would be great.

manual seems to be all good, as the tiptronics seem to have a few problems, search "legnum" in the nzperformance forum and youll see,
aslong as its been serviced reguly (sp?) then you should be sweet, and ask if the clutch has been replaced, some only last up to 80k,
but yeah theres heaps of helfull fullas around here so havefun.

white wheels rock, pitty there not much choice of mags that come in 18s and white...

i settled for 17" white stalkers,

imho i would do things in this order.

    wheels
    lowering
    exhaust
    battery to the boot
    custom cold air intake
    boost controller (electronic)
    fueling
turbos, from what ive read theres not much choice due to space

    good luck with your purchase

my legnum befor lowering and front lip (i do miss the ground clearance)

after getting adjustables at the first CVR4 NZ meet
(looks 100 times better with the lip and being sacked on its ass)

just gotta watch those speed bumps
