Some females may think that they will be left out that 'club runs' are for guys and that all that is discussed during car runs is 'car talk'.
When I first participated in a club run (with another car club) many moons ago, this is how it was, the guys wouldn't talk to the females, apparently we knew nothing and that the guys were always competing against each other, thinking they had the best car blah blah, and wouldn't listen to other peoples suggestions etc.... Well I changed all that when I became the secretary and treasurer for 6 to 7 years, which I organised everything from motorsport, membership fees/packs/renewals, club runs, agms and audits to name a few things.
I believe a car club atmosphere should be friendly, family orientated by that I mean, not just about Mum and Dads + the kids but, we are all here for one thing our love for the VR4, we should respect each other including members partners and friends, as if it wasn't for them we wouldn't be the people that we are today.
Please feel free to encourage your partners and friends along to our runs as my philosophy is the more the merrier. Some of you might disagree with this but I believe that our car club is not here to make problems with our so called 'better halves' but to include them and make them feel a part of our ever growing family and community.
OK I'm off the band wagon/soap box now lol....

Yeah you're right Pescha, anyone should be allowed to come, this includes maori's lady
hay i aggree with pesha as well.... i wanted hur 2 come on the first one but she had wk cause she wks on saterday mornings plus we had a scrap the night b4 lol so that probly neva helped...
Pesha: your quite good when u get or lecture-y lol nice wk though i'll print that off and show her hopefuly she have a better understanding of things from it...
It's the teacher in me that comes out lol.... I really don't want our club turning out like the last club I was affiliated with. Hence why it's good to be considerate to others all the way, and always maintaining a high standard of conduct at all times while participating in club runs, activities and events under the CLUBVR4 flag be it in the UK or NZ.
Plus involving everyone in decisions, it's not about the 'committee' its about the members of our club. We are all members, hence allowing all members to make the decisions for the club....
$hit there I go again
lol.....
Pescha!
Yep, there you go again lol.
BTW, are you keen to come to a BBQ afterwards? I think you know roughly where it is already.
More than likely not! It's gonna be a long trek for me comin up to bombays in the morning.Originally Posted by bradc
Have you thought about bringing it with us? I'm sure we can find a BBQ somewhere lol....
I'm thinking of taking you guys and girls the Pukekawa way, instead of the way that Transit will be diverting the traffic. Just for a bit of fun lol
Pescha!
This bridge is going to be closed on Sunday so we will just follow SH1, I think our diversion from the bombays will be exciting enough!Originally Posted by Pescha

Anyhow, as you may know I wont' be attending this run either. It is my niece's last weekend in NZ before returning to Canada. I will leave Pescha in charge of this run.
I fully endorse Pescha points about this club being for all members. As commitee members we are here to help the club grow and grow it has (35 members to date). All members can contribute to the operation of the club with ideas etc.
We work to live, and to live is to drive a VR-4, around corners at speed. But it costs see here
