All Set for Driving on the Continent?

Off to France in just over a week, the missus has got the holiday list sorted (massive spreadsheet ), so it's down to me to make sure we're roadworthy

Got my MOT last week, so i have 13 months on that, and got my Track Rod ends done too, new F1s all round, another oil and filter change today, brake fluid new last month. Car is packed with all the tools I think i might possibly need (decent socket set, and a toolkit, with all sorts of stuff).

Plan to get spare bulb set (any ideas where, and what bulbs - do they come in sets for the Galant?), puncture repair kit, and I have a 1 litre container of spare oil, just in case. I am bringing the Galant handbook, my V5, I have Euro breakdown cover, so i'm thinking I have most bases covered. OK, it's my first time driving abroad, so i'm being a bit anal

Anyone think of anything else I might need, and any tips (it's France by the way).

First aid kit, fire extinguisher, warning triangle and headlight converters mate

Last two are law, first two recommended but not worth the risk IMHO. Halfords do a first aid kit/extinguisher set for £24.99

You need stickers to alter the headlight beams, a first aid kit and a warning triangle to drive legally in France. Anything else is optional!

AFAIK you can't get a specific kit for bulbs. H1 & H7 covers headlights, front indicators are bayonet, rear lights are push fitting.

And don't get caught with a radar/laser detector in the car in France! Likely to have the car confiscated ... Oh, and a GB sticker

Sorry, already have a first aid kit and warning triangle, hi-vis jacket, extinguisher - not bothering with headlamp converters as I don't plan on doing much driving at night, and if I do, they'll never turn round quick enough to catch me
Also have a small magnetic GB badge - apparently that is law too

Oh, and the missus got an in-car DVD too, for Keira, with two screens, and it links with a Playstation How easy is it to run a PS2 off a cigarette lighter?

SUL is widely available in France, pretty near every petrol station has it. France is still marginally cheaper than the UK for fuel (no surprise there!), butI wouldn't worry too much about where you fill up.
