    Bike memories..........

Clearing up some junk from the spare room today and i came across a couple of pics of my old ZZR in Ninja colours - for those who like bikes only really!!
Ahh the memory...........all the way back in April 1997, even my Cavalier was only 3 years old at the time!!!
Sorry about the quality - reduced scan of a cra**y picture!!

    Memories

Sold my KTM Duke the other week - the money has already been spent on carpets, sofas and a new bed for the flat.

    Growing up sucks!

I'll try and fish out some photos of the magnificent beasts I have owned over the years - and I will own a bike again.....

BTW: Meant to say - nice bike Smokinmasta - am I right in thinking the ZZR was the fastest bike in it's class (both 600 and 1100) for a good number of years - I can't tell which yours is.

It's current incarnation is I think particularily good looking.

    What was the difference?

I always struggle with these differences - I need a really big 600 sticker on the tail to tell the difference

    WRX !!!???

The 1100 was the speed holder for 10 years - many pretenders to the crown (manfacture CLAIMED speed) was only bettered by the Blackbird a year after it's realease!

    Had both 600 (pictured) and an 1100, and a ZX6.......also RD200, RD350LC, VFR400, and finished with a ZX9R.
My fav for fun, well 2 really my RD350LC (not the girly YPVS one!) and VFR400 (NC30 model).
So when peeps on here go on about 0-60 times zzzzzzzzzz............point to point the VFR would also show most cars and much larger bikes a thing or 2
round twisties it was a superb weapon!!

Haha - my brother started off on a ZXR400 - and took me for a spin on the back of it. On that day any bike and most cars would have beaten it point to point 'cos of its 28stones of passengers!

I got my licence through direct access - steel framed CBR600, TLS-1000 and finally the KTM Duke II - all brilliant in their own way. I'll find some pics and post them up.

i'll see what i can dig up , my racing days were well before digital was common , but the list goes something like this , vfr400r (nc30) with full HRC carb kit , airbox& exhaust , 1992 fireblade scary scary race bike 6 laps of malory and the back tyre was only useful as a paper weight , then i thought this is way to expensive and went onto motocross , how wrong can you be the cr125(before you start laughing it had 41 bhp at the gearbox thats 321hp/ltr , F1 cars are only 300) needed a topend rebuild every 12 hrs / £120 and a chain and sproket set lasted 2 months at best then came a cr250 and 500 if hannibal lecter rode bikes he would have a cr500 , they dont have a throttle just a on off switch, that had to go it was just to much , you just couldn't enjoy it you spent all your time wondering which hemesphere you would land in when it spat you off . well old age and a desire to live past 30 took over and now two wheels in this house mean pedeling , mind you when the kids are a bit older the words cr125 and e-bay will have a coming together
