just spoken to derek again on the phone and confirmed his own times and the first was 12.67 and the 2nd was 12.61 , so not bad for an estate car (or if HJM's reading this, a van )

Oh yes... Full review coming when everyone's favourite grey'ead gets in... But WHAT a day.... Derek & Wouter really did pull that one out of the bag..... Stunning!

    12.5 @106mph.....

The BDA/Interlec arms race has just cranked up another notch, with Derek's custom induction solution paying dividends - more than making up for the stifingly high air temperatures and the 95 RON petrol Derek had to have a splash of at the last minute!!

That Derek got there at all was another story in itself!! But that's for another thread....

Well that was a cracking weekend and scorching weather on both days

Great to see you mad lot again, it's always a great event with CVR4

The dodgems were a highlight this weekend and as two of the clubs most dedicated track addicts, Heath and I clearly wiped the floor with our opposition ....mind you some of them did figure out how to make their cars go backwards

My favourite moment has to be the incredible turn around in Derek's car and seeing Wouter claim no.1 spot on the VR4 board....without owning a VR4! Hail to thee Derek and Wouter - class , pure class!

Absolutely fantastic run by Wouter! .......But what about Dereks/ wouters custom intercooler spray as administered by chief mechanics Ross and Barry?

Was it this that made those all important 10ths of a second difference?

Brilliant weekend ,weather and club atmosphere!!! Glad to be part of it

We saw barry giving it that all important last squirt at the paddock area.... Brilliant!

By the way - Ross, I've restocked the fish tank. But by the time we had got home, another massacre had taken place in it......

I had a handy calculator that worked out your 0-60 from your 1/8 trap speed and MPH. I lost it, but some kind soul has uploaded a copy of it, here:Calc

Well, last time, when Derek ran a 12.9 second 1/4, the calculated 0-60 was 4.22 seconds. Quick by anyones standards.

This time, the 1/8 mile time for Derek's fastest run was: 7.995 @ 85.85.

That works out as a 0-60 in...............................

To put this in perspective, the famed '1/4 Mile Rivals' chart is saved to an excel sheet on our PC.

Here's the machinery that the SGHOM mobile is rubbing shoulders with....

    Name...............1/4mile time @ MPH

    Interlec........................... 12.5@106
    Noble M12 GTO.................12.5@114
    TVR Tamora.....................12.5@119
    Merc CL65 AMG Auto........12.5@120
    Ast. Martin Vantage 600...12.6@120
    Porsche 911 GT3..............12.6@115

Try getting an IKEA wardrobe flatpack in one of them!
