I got myself all organised, took my camera and everything...

... and discovered in the abbey car park that I'd left the sodding memory card at home. DOH!

Oh well, good day out... took a beating from the sun but nice to enjoy good company in the presence of good cars.

we had a bit of a gathering when I started my car up !! not that it's loud or anything !! mut have been aroung 50 or 60 folks watching & waiting for a pyrotechnic show !!
at first not a lot happened, so we put plan 'B' in to operation [ armed the NOS ] & we got flames !! not much, similar to japshow. but then, whilst Mo was revving it, 'POP' flames shot out of the back at least.????............... I'll not say, you'll think I'm exaggerating..... I'll let the audiance tell !!

I've uploaded mine, but called it sheffield.zip

TBH, I'm not wild about the gallery idea - it's just a set of pics - no story, and it's the stories that make them personal/interesting. I've probably spent about 5 mins looking at the gallery, whereas I've read the meet threads from top to bottom...

So, here are my pics, with some words! Feel free to delete them if they're wasting bandwidth though! Actually remembered the digital camera for a change!

    At the park:

The best defensive position is a circle, so we coral the cars against the Sheffield Massive:

(I've tried to get everyone's car, so no-one whines about it!)

More gratuitous butt-shots. Notice how the women and children are herded into the centre of the defensive circle for their protection:

Also some pics of the CVR4 members in this lot:

And finally, you can't keep a good SGHOM down - his latest effort after a bit of NOS was squirted through it. The white bit is frozen condensation on the pipe. My camera wasn't fast enough to catch the stuff hissing out, but it was pretty impressive!

a most excellent day , a great turnout by everyone , i was great to meet some of the new members and some of the old ones as well , i must say i was very nice of jack (my son) to keep mike amused all day . the derek BBQ got quite an audience as well , the funniest part of the day was when mo derek and myself went on a mickey taking mission over to the FFOC stand and then got asked to vote on their car of the show (very silly move on their part) so mo and myself went on the hunt for the most bog standard car on their stand and found a bum basic MK5 escort and voted for that , all those people that spent thousands on there turbo'd /supercharged /nitroused (and even all three in the case of one !!!!!!!!!!!!) must have been quite suprised when this escort got a load of votes . again many thanks to everyone who turned up and made this a very enjoyable day
P.S derek, jack still doesn't like you after making him cry , from now on you will now be known as "evil grey haired old man"

Thanks Derek for your advice, we got home safely. The gearbox sorted itself out but the engine still cuts out when you decellerate quickly under heavy breaking.

I will be the first to say that Derek's flames were about 3 to 4 feet long.

Also thanks in advance to Bern who is sorting my photos for me. Was a great day !!
