Lol, who cares if it was a bomb, i just want to get to where im going toOriginally Posted by BBC
Hmmm, this isnt a power surge, 7 individual explosions in underground, bins blowing up, top decks of buses been blowing off... and more reports of injured people and explosions coming in as i type...
whos blowing up london then? coincidice that G8 is on today?
this has just popped up on NZ tv as " breaking news", interupting the Fight for life.
90 casualties at one location alone, aldgate station??
Anyone note any similarities to Madrid? Multiple bombs synchronised...
Perhaps with the security focus on scotland this week, there was a window...
Not sure on the numbers but the pic shows the location of the bombs on the tube.
Not good. Someone is sending a message to G8. The questions is, how/why have they been allowed to do this, i thought security had been permanently stepped up to prevent this! I know you can't stop everything, but it appears there are alot of bombs here!
The best things in life have to be lubricated
Yeah it's on TV here too, I was watching tv3 as well Kornstar.
I wonder why they would decide to do it in London just for G8? Why didn't they do it in one of the other countries?
Same as 9/11, I hope they find the bombers and kill them all. My thoughts go out to you guys over in England, and especially those around London.
I'm all for reporting the facts, but I think the BBC have just made a gaffe.
They had a camera on an ambulance that was dropping off people at hostpital. One guy was carried to a wheelchair, with head injuries. Nasty, but that's okay.
However, the chap after him was on a stretcher. Very burned, very limp, with a paramedic giving him CPR.....
His wife/partner/children could have been watching that.
Most UK news channels via internet are down or struggling - hundreds of tales and rumours floating around other chat forums - FOR EXAMPLE
ETCI've just hear a rumour that the police have shot someone carrying a bomb in the canary wharf area? anybody confirm this?
Apparently all transport within zone 1 (central London) has been halted, with people being told to stay in their buildings.
Just like the other terrorist attacks of recent times the numbers reported now will be vastly different come the end of the day/week.
Take care if you're in London, thoughts go out to those who are missing loved ones.....
Steve
Blairs just been on the radio, sounded like he was ready to start balling, and that he didn't have a clue.
All he's told us is exactly what the BBC has been telling us. He confirmed terrorist attack but sounded very shaky.
We need a strong leader in times like these not a wet fart like he appears to be!
Let's hope this gets sorted and not just analyzed byyear long reports into what happened.
Nice words Steve, i'd just like to pass on those sentiments from myself too.Take care if you're in London, thoughts go out to those who are missing loved ones.....
I thought the opposite. I've not usually got time for Blair, but he was clearly emotional, and I thought he did well to keep a lid on the sadness and the anger that must be coursing through his veins, like it is is most people I think.Originally Posted by WildCards

yeah wildcard he looked like he was gonna cry, very powerful speech
A sad day indeed...
Unless the person is a total heartless bastard
You will show emotion its human nature
Of course Blair is upset who wouldn't be
Police are telling people not to try and get out of London especially as Sky News said people should head out of London

Some advice for those of you working in Central London:
Security would have been significantly increased following the blasts, therefore reducing the opportunity for further explosives to be placed, however this does not rule out the possibility that there may still be devices yet to be found.
As the terrorists are not bothered about death and loss of life, in fact it seems that public transport was their target, it would be wise for you to stay put and avoid places where the public congregate, i.e. tube stations, bus stations, pubs, theatres, tourist centres (Leicester Square, Trafalgar, etc).
You should stay at work until the bedlam has calmed down, that way people know where you are and that you are safe and you can be easily accounted for if further attacks happen.
This is a standard warning that is issued to military units such as ours following a terrorist attack, but it is worth following this advice. Hope this helps.

Maybe this has happened because half the police from England is running around Prestwick Airport where, all the leader's planes are being held for the G8 meeting.
live 15 mins from the airport and its crazy, 5 miles round the airport is mental, never in my life have i seen double decker buses fully laden with police. got a good view of Air Force 1.
Feel sorry for the people of London just now.
just checked the news Al Qaeda claim terror attack!!
