    400hp Legnum

so i ran into Paul Ohlsen @ ohlsens developments at the "legal" drags and he said he just finished working on a white legnum which was pushing out around 400hp on the standard turbo's

telling me its the fastest legnum hes ever driven and to come into his workshop to do some more work 2 my car. So hopefully if the owner doesnt mind im gonna give Paul a call and see if he can elaborate on the mods of this car.

Anyone heard anything about this mystery legnum with a mines ecu?

my mate has a galant that is getting a link ecu that I've been talking a bit about over the last week or so, he is hoping for around 350hp or so.

I may just have to talk to ohlsens and see what they are prepared to do to my car

    Hey

Ive got a Mines ECU in my car. It's only putting out about 288hp at the wheels, and I think about 405Nm.

thats why I wanted to know what mods have been done. It's also fairly local, so it would be cool if I could have a look at your car Spy

If u look in the members cars u can get a spec list on most cars here. U will find that its some trick ECU tuning that the MINES ECU has.

    97 Legnum,

Yes, Legnum VR4 is right, most of the grunt comes from the Mines ecu. The other mods I have done are whats listed in CVR4 cars (Freddy)

But you would need an expert tuner to set it up though. I have tons of work to do on it first though.

the link plus installed and tuned for $2k is a bargain. and there is nothing wrong with a link ECU. most of the guys who do rally's and motorsport events at a club level here in NZ use those as ECU's on their cars.

remember. the ECU just allows you to set the ignition, fueling and boost characteristics of the engine. One ECU may have more features than another or show the ignition and fueling at higher resolutions, but at the end of the day, its not the ECU that makes the car go fast, its the tuner.

what I'm trying to figure out is what computer is actually the best though. While there is definately a big differance in the skill of the tuner, there must be some ECU's that are better than others.
