So after a long hard search, I gave in and just bought the bumper that was at a nearby pick a part.
There seems to be none in the whole country (unless you wanna pay a million bucks from JapSpares hahaha)

Im sure I spent a good 20 mins looking at the damage to it and thinking bout the massive $40 it was gonna cost to buy lol.
Then when the chick at the counter said I could have it for $10 cause of its damage, I was like a bullet out the door with bumper in hand haha.
The damage in the pic doesnt look too bad but its actually damage to an old rubbish repair. Looks like they used a soldering iron, grey clothes peg and alot of builders bog. then to make it worse, its been spray can'd so the whole things textured and flakey haha. SO thats gotta all come off before i get stuck into the real repair.

Also test fitted the ducktail/hoop spoiler that comes on the PFL legnums. Looks mint! Looks different. way too long so needs mods but will definitely be going on. Might have considered the factory FL spoiler, but they dont appear to exist in the spare parts world anyways hahaha

I always thought this setup would look great, but now that I see it in real I find it odd looking... It doesn't seem to flow with the lines of the FL tail. I'd say no.

It doesn't quite work. If it sat a bit more flush at the bottom maybe.

    +1

FL wing suits the tailgate more...

In my dreamed up version of how it would fit, the bottoms were alot more flush with the tailgate where it meets the taillights.

Its really not possible tho without cutting shiploads out of the original haha. I think im on the hunt for a FL spoiler now

lol thanks for that Gly, but the taillights still look alot better than the PFL regardless of spoiler.

FL spoiler and a mint condition rear bumper arrived yesterday. will paint em tomorrow hopefully

hahaha i knew it was coming.

thats the next stage of the project and still a fair few parts, and probably months away.

long story short, we got a 6a13tt to run with a ham's jet unit in our jetboats. Actually bought a nose cut
Have since decided against and instead bought a 6g72tt instead, which will be quite alot better for what we want out of the jet boat and i'm alot more familiar with them (also got a 1uz but decided against it aswell)
Bearing that in mind, I hunted for a legnum shell and got what I have for less than a grand.
In the meantime its tuned out to be a very cheap runner hahaha

Painted the FL bumper and spoiler this avo. have to shoot away for work this week so probably not until the weekend. Then theres the slight issue of the towbar.

Started making up some 6x9 door pods too. Will see how those turn out

So finished off the conversion today, bar remaking a longer towbar.
Will toy around with the idea of an easily removable one.
Pretty happy with it tbh hahaha. Still working on the 6x9 door pods. painted today but forgot to take pik. hopefully upload something tomorrow.

Thanks. its the X08 Black with Green Pearl. Is this a factory color for the FL legnum? or do they have a different shade?

Im wondering if someone could help me double check ive got the gas struts the right way around plz.
The pic is of the Left (passengers side) rear gas strut. Is the bracket the right way round or does in need to be rotated 180deg? Thanks in advance.
